We believe in giving credit where it's due. Every Dubai area photograph on this site is sourced from Wikimedia Commons under a license that permits commercial use. Photographers and license terms are listed below.
Area photography
Photographs of Dubai neighbourhoods displayed on our area guides are used under the terms below. Each photograph remains the property of its photographer.

Some Dubai communities (e.g., Jumeirah Village Circle, DAMAC Hills) do not currently have a verified Commons photograph available. Those areas display a branded gradient treatment until we add original photography.
License summary
- CC0 / Public Domain — no attribution legally required, but we credit the photographer anyway.
- CC BY 2.0 / 3.0 / 4.0 — free use including commercial, with attribution to the photographer.
- CC BY-SA 4.0 — free use including commercial, with attribution; derivative works must use the same license. We display the photographs as-is, so the share-alike clause does not affect this site's content licensing.
